You can make sure...
Australia
’s Financial Transaction Reports Act 1988 awards
different values to different forms of identification. It requires a score of at
least 100 for acceptable proof of identification.
SeniorSitters
have adapted this system for use as a comprehensive identity check to protect
both Homeowners and Housesitters.
The aim is to score 100 points
with a combination of identifying documents, as follows:
70 Points (one only)

Birth Certificate
-
Citizenship Certificate
-
Passport
Plus…
25 Points Each
-
Driver’s Licence (with current address and photo)
-
Identification card for a government employee (with photo)
-
Name, address and telephone number verified from a current
telephone directory, and telephone contact with Sitter at that number
-
Credit card (one only)
-
Medicare card in name of Sitter
-
Telephone account, council rates notice or utility account
-
Seniors Card or Centrelink card (not both)
-
Foreign photo ID (Driver’s licence, National ID card, etc.)
