housesitting newsletter, Wearing's Wanderings
Travel and housesitting go together. And
in this section we aim to bring you a wide cross-section of travel articles and
hints. As well as notes and information on popular destinations, there will be
accounts from members of trips, equipment and preparations.
In fact, we invite members to send us
their travel stories and pictures. The best of them will be published on the
website.
To kick off we have the first-hand
account of a memorable three-months odyssey from the Gold Coast to the
Kimberleys undertaken by two Queensland
SeniorSitters members.
Manfred and Gisa live on the Gold Coast and love travelling. In
the late ’90s
they took 4 ˝ years out to sail around the world in their 10 metre
yacht, the Tokoloshe II. Their aim in 2004 was to drive their Toyota “Troop
Carrier, or Troopie” to the Kimberleys on an extended trip lasting three
months. With a Housesitter installed at home, they were ready to move. This is the
